Biographical Summary
A former college football linebacker, D'Amelio has carried the grit and determination he displayed on the gridiron into the business world. He started his career with Bell Labs in 1979 and spent more than 25 years in the telecomm business, eventually become CFO of Lucent Technologies in 2001. D'Amelio is now trying his hand in the pharmaceutical business as CFO of pharmacy giant Pfizer, which produced $48 billion in revenue last year but is faced with declining sales.
