Biographical Summary
Department store impresario Michael Gould is one of the best-known retailers in the world. He got his start with a summer internship at Abraham and Straus in New York while earning his undergraduate degree at Columbia University in the 1960s. Along the way he serves as the Chief of two iconic west coast retailers, Robinson's Department Stores and Giorgio Beverly Hills. In 1991 he landed at "Bloomie's" and has revamped the brand several times over, most recently with a plan to open an outlet division as well as the first Bloomingdale's outside of the US, in Dubai, UAE.
